Project Life Empty Project Life

Post by Tamara Sun Nov 13, 2011 12:24 pm

Has anyone done this in the past, or considering doing it next year?

I am seriously considering it, I have loved working on my holiday album (which is done in the same style - pockets of memorabilia, intermixed with photos). I know it will be a lot of work, but I think at the end of the year, it will all be worth it!

Project Life Empty Re: Project Life

I have 90% decided that I am going to do it (well maybe more like 100% since I am about to go to K-Mart and pay off my layby and return it, so that I can get the project life kit for Christmas instead [I had a mixer and bowl set thinngy on layby for myself]).

At first I was only going to get the photo pockets from the actual 'project life' set, but now I think that I will get the 'core kit' and use that as the basis for my album next year. If I can keep up with that ok, then in 2013 I think that I will use my own supplies/scraps to do the album (I had planned on buying 6x6 and 8x8 album pads and using them).

Project life is EVERYWHERE now and hasnt it just taken off.

Personally i havent tried it or brought anything project life but definatley see the sense of it. Ive seen some amazing PL pagesbut for me i love my standard ole scrapping too much... plus i dont need anything else to spend money on lol... its all about using what i have atm :-)

I bought some PL stuff last month, to do a holiday album. I want a really quick way of getting all my photos from trip and all the extra bits journaled. It wont ever replace scraping 12x12s, but it might help me catch up on backlog of photos.

ugh so over project life. It reminds me of adults trading baseball cards and if you aren't in the cool group of PL you aren't part of a clique! It is also frustrating as a scrapbooker to find new release items in online stores these days as most online stores are only getting the new stuff if it is PL compatible. woe is me Sad

I'm not into PL either and I doubt I will.  But, I can see the attraction to some ... it's a way of recording memories without all the 'embellies'.   Well, I'm an embellie scrapper so would really miss it Very Happy Very Happy

I agree with Kate, PL is everywhere and everything is going that way in online stores. Its not something that interests me, however i did buy some of the sleeves today to get my holiday photos scrapped. I plan to scrap the main photos 12x12, then all related photos will go in the 4x6 envelopes beside them, so i don't have to scrap every photo, and i don't have to leave out the extra photos. I won't be having one photo and a heap of decorated rectangles across the pages, i promise!!! Smile
