I know curiosity killed the cat, but I always wonder what other scrappers are doing and what products they are using. If you are anything like me, you get a run happening where you find yourself using the same sort of products or techniques on your LO's.

So, (besides patterned paper), what are your 3 "go to" products or techniques you are using at the moment???

Great question Sue!
Yep I'm the same and once I find something I like I roll with it for a while.

I couldn't narrow it down to either products or techniques so have gone with 3 of both.

Products:
- All sorts of handmade embellies
- Twine
- Fabrics, eg vintage doilies, handkerchiefs, denim off cuts, fabric mesh, sinnamay etc

Techniques:
- Paint (splattering and scrapping it on using old credit card)
- Making homemade mists
- Layering

What about your's Sue??

Yeah - I find I I do tend to go through stages...but a 'stage' for me could be only 3 or 4 LOs....

Right now I think it would be:

1. Sewing
2. Misting
3. Distressing

hmmmm...well the 3 things I seem be using most at the moment are:
paper doilies (which I tend to mist)
bakers twine
sewing

I have also been using a lot of handmade embellies, although couldn't narrow that down to just one kind, but have had at least one on every LO lately. Wink I also seem to be having a run of animals on my LO's too (birds, butterflies, owls)... Rolling Eyes

does anyone have any fave colour combos they are using??? besides my staple PINK & PINK (LOL) I am also drawn towards using aqua & green atm...

Im into mixed media scrapping atm so my 3 staples would be
1. Alcohol inks
2. texture paste
3. ink

Im getting all messy with lots of ink and different ways to use it. But I tend to have the following techniques on my layouts too
1. fussy cutting
2. stamping
3. misting

But my fav go to product of all is chipboard!!! I love making my pages 3D and chipboard is a great starting point for adding dimension then building it up from there.

I too would say twine and handmade embellishments are my 2 main staples. I'm also using quite a bit of bare chipboard.

I am particularly drawn to orange at the moment particularly combined with green and aqua.

Sue got my on to www.picnik.com So i have been tweaking most of my photos in some way using picnik before I scrap them.

Thanks Sue Very Happy

Oh and colour combos: Really into fuchsia at the moment, fuchsia with purple, or with denim accents or with blue, or lime green!

Handmade embellies especially form the girlies here for sure. I have a little basket on my desk with all my new stuff in them.

I seem to be doing a lot of boy layouts lately, I actually feel a bit guilty that I am scrapping more of the baby, than Lily. But as DH pointed out - Lily is about 100 layouts up on Benji!

I love using handmade things on my layouts (especially fabric covered buttons) - sometimes I make them, but mostly I buy them.

My favourite range at the moment, would have to be - dots and stripes by Echo Park. It took me a while to catch onto the craze (that is all things Echo Park), because I wasn't scrapping much when the company had their first release, and when I started again after Benji was born, I went straight to my old favourites.

I haven't really answered the question, have I?...LOL

I love all colours, but for some reason am really drawn to blues and greens right now. Big time. Weird - blue is usually not a colour I really like. I still love white as a base.

My favourite ranges right now are pretty much anything October Afternoon, My Minds Eye and Cosmo Cricket.

Im going to check out my LSS next time I go there (well actually I have 3 near me - so I will check them all), but it's usually cheaper to buy things like punches online (even with the postage).

Thanks Becci - I'm in Perth though Sad

I agree that they are usually cheaper online. Tam - contact Suzanne from Handmade By Suzanne and find out when her next re-stock is going to be. You would even be able to arrange pick-up from her if you wanted - she's in Perth too. Wink

I managed to get myself one of 'those' punches :yeah: :yeah:
I went to my LSS, and there was one there, priced at $29.95, but they are having a 30% sale, so I figured that I may as well get it
