Kids Punchie Swap

Hey there - this morning DD and I were doing some drawing and cutting and pasting (again). She loves the cutting side of things but is much more obsessed with my punches even though I only have a few. I was thinking I should go and get some more....but then had the thought about a punched shape swap....

It need only be really simple with left over bits of paper or the cheapest paper, or even plain white computer paper for the kids to colour - I would do it just to get some variety into the shapes we are punching....iykwim.

Would anyone with kids be interested in something like this?

Do yo want to do a punched shapes for kids Ant?? I would be in for that!! I have a heap of punches and a box FULL of scrap pp that is just dying to be used!! lol!!

If anybody else is interested, add your name to this list and once we see how many we have, we can work out the details!!

Yep - that is what I was thinking! I thought it would be a great way of getting rid of some of that unwanted paper and getting some more shapes. My kids for one would LOVE it!

I've only recovered a couple of punches since moving (had a HEAP but looks like they've grown legs ) but am interested... my kids would LOVE it too - we might make a special trip to get some punches (depending on when these are due) and they can do a set each - making 3 more names on the list (does that make sense??)

Count me in! I have lots of scrap paper I can use and quite a few punches (that I wouldnt use for any other purpose anyway...LOL)

Ant, if you are going to coordinate this swap, may I suggest everyone just does a mixed bag of punched shapes for each person and sends all the bags to you for distribution? Unless you really want to sort loose punched shapes...

I might go bugeyed doing that...great idea. Once we get some numbers - we will work out what we will do.....sound good? I wasn't sure if anyone would even be interested....

you can buy some at shops, like foam shapes !!!

What do you all think if we each punch 10 punchies per a person in the swap, so each person will end up with 100 punchies if we fill the 10 spot. Does that sound ok??

I did mine last night, I did 10 large flowers and left the bags open in case we needed to do more.

sounds good... Do we know waht everyone is doing so we don't get double ups? I'm not sure what my kids are doing, the punches I have found so far are small foot, med foot, large star and 1" circle

I'm thinking I might take the kids out and they can pick their own punches out for the swap - start re-building my punch stash again

oh and I have a dodgy heart punch too - it's arm was broken when I opened the package and I couldn't find the receipt to take it back to spotlight

Strike that, it's the star with the dodgy arm...

I don't think it will matter what we punch! I have heaps, so will just punch a heap of randoms!!
