Re: Show us your scrap space!
I am lucky as I have a spare room (being an empty nester) that is now my scraproom. The first 3 photos were taken just after I had set it up so every thing looks nice & tidy, the last photo (Pic #4) was my desk today with a project on the go and a mess everywhere. The table is an old door with trestle legs added, it is great as it is very wide. I have wire racks & Kaiser shelves for my cardstock and plastic holders for my PP, I have also used a set of shelves with little cubbyholes (shoe storage from KMart) for my tools and cuttlebug etc (Pic #3). My other shelving was made for me when I used to have my scrapbooking shop 3 years ago as display shelving, it holds all my other folders, The wire shelving along one wall is fantastic as it can be altered if needed. I have so much leftover from my shop that I needed to be able to find everything so I had to be very organized with storage. I am very lucky to be able to have my own space (Craproom as my DH calls it) and really enjoy creating in this room
Hope you enjoy your visit to my haven!

Re: Show us your scrap space!
Wow Kaylene! That's a fantastic scrap room!! LOL Maybe I'll have to kick some of the kids out to get my own room! (Poor kids - they're only 14 and 16!!!!)
Re: Show us your scrap space!
The drawers on the left house everything from paint, to cutters, to embellies, felt, etc. The bag on the right is mostly stamps that don't fit anywhere else for now. My desk is my kitchen table, my embroidery threads are in one of the flowered orange/brown containers on my bedtable, the other one houses flowers..(yes they get shoved in there). The three brown boxes are my 1. papers 2. ribbons, and buttons and journal cards and 3. My camera stuff. The green thing next to them is Sue's filing system for scrap paper....trying it out. Those boxes are kept under my bed. That is it....that is my scrapping stuff and my set up. Does it work for me I hear you ask? NO.....not at all!
Re: Show us your scrap space!
And sorry - the photos have been compressed a couple of times, so it is blurry! At least you can't see the dust balls under my bed .
Re: Show us your scrap space!
Wow - you guys have so much stuff! I've got like enough to fill my scrapbooking trolley!
I'm the owner of a small stash! :lol!:

Fabulous rooms everyone, I so love sticky beaking and after people's creative centres (and seeing what goodies they've got), plus I can show DH that others have more stuff than I do!

:lol!: I borrowed mine from my Dad, It's great to put a finished LO on, then sit back & look at it, to see if it needs anything else on it.

Re: Show us your scrap space!
ha! My scrapping place takes up 2 rooms at the moment. We moved into out home around 6 months ago and bf and I share a room, as he does graphic design and I do my scrapping. Every layout I did, I made a mess of it, and decided it was the room that was not being friendly to my creative streak. So I'm popped myself 2 meters out of the room into what is technically the 'meals' area and am starting to design some much more satisfying work here. Much nicer. I have an old dining table which is perfect size. For now, my 2 totes sit next to me with my papers and tools. But back in the 'non creative' room (hehe) is a big entertaining cabinet that I have turned into a storage unit for my scrapping bits and bobs, and I also have a book shelf full of more yummy goodies!
I'm quietly saving for some shelves out here tho, and I'll go from there!

Re: Show us your scrap space!
Wow I'm totally envious of everyones scrap rooms & scrap stashes of course . Compared to you guys I have very little scrapbooking supplies..............wonder if that's an excuse to buy more . My space is actually my spare room (have 2 bedrooms). It was once a junk room & a few months ago I decided to buy a 2nd hand desk so I'd have one in there rather than dragging everything into the kitchen table. I got rid of a lot of junk & sorted through my supplies & voila I have a scrapping room the only thing is it's turned into a HUGE mess this past week & because it's warmer in the kitchen that's where last weeks/today LO's are .
I've only just gotten back into scrapping since rejoining this group so a HUGE thankyou to all you lovely ladies for your ideas & encouragement

Re: Show us your scrap space!
how sweet..... You are more than welcome and we are so glad that you are here too......its great that you find us an inspirational group and it has made you want to scrap again!! Always good for the industry....as to scrapping stashes....some of us (ME ) are very naughty, we just can't help ourselves and tend to buy buy buy and that is the story of how we get such a huge stash....
Happy scrapping sunshine

vickstar wrote:Yeah, they are from Kmart (i got them on special) and are made for scrapping, so are 13 x 13!! I think i am going to sort my pp into brands in them!!
I've got those drawers too! Love them, they are indeedly brilliant!
I've recently moved my scrapping stuff out of my bedroom into a corner of what was my brother's bedroom. At the moment there's nothing else happening in that room, but my parents do have plans for it I think (I'm sure it won't happen for a while). I did a blog post recently so I'll post a couple of photos here, but go to this blog post to see more and I've explained it all there.

It's not normally so neat and tidy especially after a couple of LOs get done (or even just one...). I'll take a photo next time it's messy It's clean at the moment cos my BF came round tonight and wouldn't let me relax and watch a movie until it was clean! Doesn't take too long when he's there helping (aka. threatening to throw everything in the bin if it doesn't find it's home).
Here's a couple of photos for you...
Cubed bookcase I bought at Cheap as Chips for $99... way better than the IKEA expedit because each cube is a little taller which means the cropper hoppers fit perfectly and you don't have to trim them! Also way cheaper...
6 cropper hoppers that house my kaiser PP (it's really the only PP I have... I'm a bit of a kaiser addict...). I have 2 other cropper hoppers for cardstock.
My clip it up... sits on top of a 6 drawer scrapbooking unit. Love it!
The photos were a couple of weeks ago and it's a work in progress so it doesn't quite look like that at the moment. But you get the gist! There's way more photos on my blog post though so PLEASE go there

I wish my space looked that pretty Lani! Thanks for sharing!
As with most areas of the house, the secret is all in the storage - if you have a home for everything, and keep the visual clutter to a minimum, you can't go wrong! (I just need more storage containers!)
